RYA Basketball is a recreational basketball league serving the youth of North Richland Hills and surrounding areas. Games/Practices are played at The Link in Richland Hills, and BISD Gym Facilities. Regular season play runs from early-January thru early-March. 

What division would my child be in?  
All divisions are based on birth certificate upload during registration
Bantam 5-6 (co-ed) 
Junior 7-8 (co-ed) 
Intermediate 9-10 (co-ed) 
Senior 11-12 (co-ed)
**all ages determined by player's age as of Sept. 1, 2023**

When and how do I sign my child up? 
Online Registration when open (early-September)

How long is the season?
Practices begin mid-December
8 game season which will be held on Saturdays,  typically start the first Saturday in January, and run thru the last weekend in February. In addition, playoff games and championships are held the first week in March.

What is covered in the cost? 

• Reversible uniforms for home and visitor games with numbers
• RYA Basketball Shooter Shirt
• An 8 game season with postseason playoffs, gym rental, certified referees.

How do I sign up to coach or assistant coach? 
Coaches and assistants are always needed! Contact basketball@ryasports.com. Returning coaches get "first right" to coach again over new coaches. All coaches are required to be NAYS certified and register to coach through the RYA website. There is a $20.50 yearly fee for background check tied to the coaching registration.

Game Day Door Fees 

• Games are primarily played at North Richland Middle School & The Link (Richland Hills). Games may also be played at other locations as needed for scheduling conflicts. 
• Door Fee / Game Entry (Cash only): $3 regular season and $5 playoffs.
• Season Passes will be available for purchase for $20. This covers all games at all venues, including playoffs.
• Children under 4 and players are free.
